Counselling office
From 1993 to 2007 Counselling office was sited in a building where almost all of Medica was located.
Since February 2007 Counselling is located in Building of Centre for Social work in Zenica (offices have separate entrance at the side of a building but are also accessible through the main entrance door where the reception desk of Centre is sited).
Medica Counselling Office works three days in a week
- Monday and Wednesday from 08:00 to 16:00.
- Thursday from 10:00 to 18:00
We tend to make the services of a counselling office available throughout a working week.
Target groups: Women, children, and family
Reasons for admittance to be treated in psychological counselling office are: trauma (war related or post war), rape (war related and in post war time), incest, different psychological problems, developmental problems of children, domestic violence, single mother status, refugees and other.
Activities
- Therapy and counselling work with sheltered and non residential clients (individually, family and group sessions available)
- Outreach work (individual and group therapy work and support)
- Expert researches
- Educative work for issues of trauma, domestic and/or violence in community, communication and non-violent conflict resolution
